Get rid of roaches with roach bait and kill them dead!

Roach Bait

Not too many people out there would say they like having roaches around. They breed like crazy and can quickly take over a home and even spread to nighbors houses, especially in urban communities. Some infestations in neighborhoods are so bad, that many residents have grown up thinking everyone has them and there is nothing you can really do to stop them. This was not exactly true, but it usually required regular expensive monthly treatments by experienced pest control operators with the right tools to get the job done.

One of the biggest problems in controlling roaches with traditional products were that most exterminators used the same chemical every time. Eventually the roaches adapted and became immune to these pesticides.

In the last decade however, new products have hit the market. Roach Bait came into existence as an easy to apply gel like substance that could be placed inside cabinets and cracks or crevices. Unlike sprays which would usually repel the roaches, the new roach bait would actually lure the roaches to it and they would eat it. Once ingested they would then spread the chemical to the other roaches in the area, quickly killing off large populations. If you want to know the disgusting details, the roaches excrete the chemical in their poop. This excrement are those tiny spots you see near a roach infested area. Other roaches eat the excrement and ingest the poison too, spreading the chemical even further.

There are many different formulations of roach baits available. Those with fipronil work best as an introductory bait. After about 2 or 3 applications an entire infestation could be wiped out for good! In heavy infestations or situations where a neighbor's roaches are invading your turf, the roach bait will even help eliminate your close neighbors infestation over time as they crawl back and forth between homes. If the situation is really bad, you can combine the roach bait treatment with some conventional sprays but it is very important you do not mix them. One rule of thumb I use it to bait high and to spray low. You do not want the smell of the spray to take away from the lure of the roach bait.
